I have been using an Airtel sim for quite a few years now. Although the signal reception in my area is not excellent, I was lured by the services and affordable packs that Airtel offers. It is with this legacy of excellent services, Bharti Airtel created their My Airtel mobile application. The fully featured app is currently only available for Android users, but the iOS version is on its way. I am currently using this app on my tablet and I am loving all of the features that it provides.
The registration process to use the app is simple where you enter your airtel mobile number and you are send an OTP (One time password), which you have to enter in the app interface to complete your registration. After that you can add other numbers or other airtel services. The app addresses you with the name after which the sim was issued.
My Airtel app offers a lot of features but it these three features that I believe are the USPs of the application.
1. My Airtel App acts as a hub for all your airtel services. Yes! You can integrate this app to your mobile number (both postpaid and prepaid) or DTH or broadband connection. This means that you aren't require to download and manage different apps for different services. It decreases the mess and finding everything in one place is something that users have always loved. Managing different phone numbers is an easy task now with the My Airtel app.
2. The app do not only allow you to view your account information but you can also recharge your airtel services from within the app. And the icing in the cake is that you aren't restricted into recharging your own numbers. You can use the My Airtel app to recharge any airtel number. This feature will definitely be useful when are required to recharge for others, subjected to the condition they are using a airtel sim.
3. The third feature that I love and that Bharti Airtel has been using in its promos and advertisements of the application is the 'Exclusive offers'. It is right there in the first page of the app, calling your attention with its bright green banner. It advises you to shake your phone and if you do it (I know you will do it), a sound that indicates a jackpot will win your heart and the app will present to you in full-screen a very lucrative offer. It would either be a big discount or free data or cash back. This feature alone will make you addicted to this app.
